Every year, millions of men, women, and children are trafficked worldwide – including right here in the United States. And unfortunately one of the hot spots is right here in Central Ohio. Listen in as two of our Buckeye Nurses highlight key indicators of human trafficking victims and how health care workers should respond in those situations. You'll learn more about the myths and misconceptions around victims of this type of crime and how they are present in all areas of a hospital - even endoscopy where our two guests specialize in. Listeners will also learn more about how we can support these victims from a non-healthcare role - anyone can report a suspected instance of human trafficking.
